* [ANNOUNCEMENT] Cedar Trail with PowerVR for Edison 6.0.1 @ 2012-05-23 0:45 Flanagan, Elizabeth 2012-05-23 5:44 ` Wolfgang Denk 0 siblings, 1 reply; 6+ messages in thread From: Flanagan, Elizabeth @ 2012-05-23 0:45 UTC (permalink / raw) To: yocto, yocto-announce An updated Cedar Trail BSP for Edison has been released and is available at: http://www.yoctoproject.org/download/bsp/intel%C2%AE-atom%E2%84%A2-processor-n2000-and-d2000-series-based-platform-cedar-trail-powervr-graphics The 'Cedar Trail' platform consists of the Cedarview (Intel® Atom™ N2600, N2800 and D2700) processor, plus the Tiger Point (Intel® NM10 Express) Chipset. This release enables the BSP to use the latest available kernel patches for Intel's PowerVR graphics driver. The BSP image includes time limited kernel images for testing purposes. The images included in the BSP were built from: meta-intel: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/meta-intel/commit/?h=edison&id=8639a836d388812887ecd28bd4e7c6 poky: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?h=edison&id=0fbd6a161576b2cafa8583adde0ffb15347c884a Source for the included images is available at: http://downloads.yoctoproject.org/releases/yocto/yocto-1.1/sources/ -- Elizabeth Flanagan Yocto Project Build and Release ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 6+ messages in thread

This limitation is meant to discourage direct redistribution of the image. You must eventually rebuild the image if you want to remove this restriction." I've already asked Scott to work on an explicit list of "required" vs "optional" items to conform with the guide to make this clearer. The Intel silicon guys do this for their BSPs for a variety of reasons. I wouldn't necessarily expect anyone else to do this. >From: yocto-bounces@yoctoproject.org [mailto:yocto- >bounces@yoctoproject.org] On Behalf Of Saxena, Rahul >Sent: Wednesday, May 23, 2012 1:47 PM >To: Wolfgang Denk; Flanagan, Elizabeth >Cc: yocto-announce@yoctoproject.org; yocto@yoctoproject.org >Subject: Re: [yocto] [ANNOUNCEMENT] Cedar Trail with PowerVR for Edison >6.0.1 > >Please see section 1.4 of the bsp-guide >(http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/latest/bsp-guide/bsp-guide.html) >including the following text: > >" Note >Pre-compiled images are bundled with a time-limited kernel that runs for a >predetermined amount of time (10 days) before it forces the system to >reboot.
