I added Chapter 9 to the FAQ, intended for external references.
I also added a few initial sample categories, see
http://code.google.com/p/cryptsetup/wiki/FrequentlyAskedQuestions
When it has stabilized I will put numbers on the items and
categories and update the plain-text version in the source
distribution.
Please send anything you would like to see added to the list or
to me directly. Please stay on-topic, i.e. relevant for cryptsetup
and its purpose, not general material.
I also think this should be limited to texts with an URL at
this time. E.g. papers are fine, as long as they are online.
Books, videos and presentations may be taking it too far, unless
they are very relevant.
If you want a "Humor" category, the references in it have to be
1. really funny 2. really relevant and 3. actually give insights.
Example: http://xkcd.com/538/ (I think I will add that one myself.)
There could be some delays, but I will tro to not overlook
submissions.
Arno

Do you want mean something like this?: if you want steganography please
just check linux/crypto/seed.c and try to figure the hidden message that
exists in this, so if you want to make your data hidden, make a crypto
driver.....
Sorry Sorry Sorry Sorry.... I couldn't resist it.

On the plus side, that would get rid (maybe) of all the people
that do not understand the point of cryptsetup and want stego
in there.
In the minus side it is not funny, but rather tragic. (Which
in turn is funny ;-)
Seriously, I do not want/need anything, but recent discussions
make a reference section look like a good idea and several
people proposed to have one. It also gives the FAQ a wider
focus. At present it is basically 100% written by me and
my view of things may have blind spots and a certain slant.
With references, longer writings by others get a proper place
and broaden what people are pointed to.

When I tried to understand at first time crypto questions the first
source file I check was this, after that the RFC, after that I didn't
understood anything, just the two magic commentaries that still in my mind.
PD: All your afforts are really apreciated, just I ask you one thing,
please don't add my horrible english as a new high entropy algorithm

Starting with _that_ one by accident is really bad luck!
