Thanks Auke. Ok sure.

So now I tried to build the powertop in a Linux build machine following the steps in the readme file.



- ./Config : works fine

- ./make :  points to some error in the make file in the src directory

- ./make install : which install file is this command referring to?





Now wanted to confirm with you whether these steps are correct or I need to follow something else to build powertop binaries(in a linux machine) and then install it( in a Android system).

The readme also suggests : " Note: For Android (running Intel Architecture ) there is a Android.mk
that was provided by community members, and at this time is supported
mostly by community members"

So how can I make use of this Android.mk file. Sorry for putting basic queries since I have not much Android experience.

please run

./configure
make

don't use Makefile.in, that's input to the configure script which will output a real "Makefile" from it

that won't work... different C library for one


we have powertop running inside android builds internally, I would strongly suggest that you contact the person
who is providing you with Android to get powertop included (quite often its only in developer builds)
