Hello,

I am trying to fix xenomai in last sunxi_linux 3.4 in my Cubieboard
A10, but, I dont know how to do right :(

Unable to patch kernel 3.4.79 with ipipe-core-3.4.6-arm-4.patch - but
i dont have ipipe-core-3.4.7 ?!?!

What is the favorite version to do this?
 My sources:
  git clone -b sunxi-3.4 http://github.com/linux-sunxi/linux-sunxi.git
  wget http://download.gna.org/xenomai/stable/xenomai-2.6.3.tar.bz2

 Appreciate any feedback,

Best Regards,
Alexandre Bensi

ipipe-core-3.4.6 applies to Linux 3.4.6, not a later version apparently.

Besides, allwinner a10 is not supported by the I-pipe core for Linux
3.4.6. Patches have been submitted, have been reviewed, and we are now
waiting for a corrected submission of the patches (but they will likely
target a more recent version than Linux 3.4.6).

Regards.

  I understand,

I see that Xenomai target versions are 3.4.6 or 3.5.7 or 3.8.13
  The sunxi-linux versions I downloaded are: 3.4.61 and 3.4.79 and 3.14

I can not find exact versions, but the closest still does not work:
prepare kernel.sh: Unable to patch kernel 3.4.61 with
ipipe-core-3.4.6-arm-4.patch

If Allwinner A10 is not supported by ipipe, something is recommended
or I need waiting?

Thanks!

Well, to accelerate the work, you could submit the corrected patch
yourself, starting from the comments we made in this thread:

I would use any version that is supported by Xenomai, A10 or A20, so I
asked if there was any recommendation.

To proceed with your suggestion I believe the link below would be a
first step. I do not intend to re-invent the wheel but I put myself
available to contribuite with any project with this objective.

The link I have sent points to patches which were already commented, so,
normally you just have to restart from these patches, and modify it
according to the comments we made. If you start from something else,
chances are you will receive different comments, so are less likely to
get the patch right at the first attempt.

Also note that porting the I-pipe patch to a new ARM SOC is documented:
http://www.xenomai.org/index.php/I-pipe-core:ArmPorting
