I have a suspicion that crashes occur, because btrfs doesn't always
expect that kmalloc may fail. At least, when trying to reproduce
the bug, I got the following stack trace, which clearly points to
tree_mod_log_free_eb, where we panic if kmalloc doesn't succeed:

This trace looks mysterious to me either. Usually on overrun we have a
very long call trace, which points to the guilty, but nothing similar
