Dear Support Team,


We are using imx6Q sabresd platform for our development with Linux 
3.10.17_1.0.0-GA BSP.
We come to know about "Linux 3.10.17_1.0.1 Patch Release" from below 
post and we are planing to move the imx_3.10.17_1.0.1_ga linux kernel git.
i.MX 6 D/Q/DL/S/SL Linux 3.10.17_1.0.1 Patch Release

Before that, we would like to clarify below
There are some GPU bug fixes in below linux kernel link.

But some of the updates not included from below link. (Ex.ENGR00318392 
ARM:imx6x: Save/restore SCU and some CP15 registers across suspend/resume)

Could you please suggest us regarding this?

The 3.10.17_1.0.1 Patch Release is already merged both in master and daisy.

If you need this *now*, you can download the patches and add them in a
bbappend. Or revert the commit I shared above

Sometimes when you post a question on the community forum, some member of
freescale will suggest you to sends mail here. this situation gets more
frequently after SDK_3.10.17 comes out.

Indeed. Lauren, can you merge these patches in git.freescale.com?
otherwise I apply them as patches.

Lauren, in case it helps something I have these patches ready to send
in a branch so please let me know if I ought to send for someone.

Yes, and I use to do the same, when acting in imx.community.

However, it´s important to make it clear what is the purpose of this
mailing list to everyone (for you and for all others in the ML)

We know.  They were trying to get 3.10.17-1.0.1 out quickly with fast testing so it did not include all the other kernel patches.

Another patch release is being tested and will include them plus more graphics fixes.

So you did the update to a *newer* fix being aware it removed other fixes?

I were expecting a better QA control from Freescale and I didn't
double check all the release as I trusted it had been checked. I will
be more rigorous next time...

So please ask for this to be done RIGHT this time. And be sure to
include the fixes of BOTH 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 into the upcoming one.

I am preparing the fix on top of 1.0.1 including the missing patches
and will merge it in master and daisy soon. :-(

1)  3.10.17-1.0.1 is a graphics update only.  It was only tested for graphics so the kernel baseline it used was the GA only plus graphics patches only.   Because nothing but graphics was tested this one time they kept fixes on top of GA.    This is a hot fix that graphics team wanted to get out so they minimized the scope so testing could happen faster and get out faster to community.

2)  Like I said the next update which is being tested will have the kernel patches that were not included in 3.10.17-1.0.1

So next time, please pick the two patches of Graphics and apply on top
of 3.10.17-1.0.0 release and not move to the new branch. As I said I
trusted it was done right but it was not.
