There are 2 possible issues with this error:
- wrong boot configuration - please make sure the boot-config switches 
are set-up for sdcard boot;
- you have probably wrong sdcard boot-sector. imx233 is extremely picky 
on the bootlet layout. Please use a proven way to generate sdcard 
images, like Yocto (select one of the imx233 machines and try one of the 
simplest images like core-image-minimal). Yocto scripts generate working 
bootable images and reduce the hassle of the manual error-prone work.
