Unlike originally planned, this is -rc5. We merged way too many changes
and important fixes since -rc4 for going final directly.

it seems that the release has not be tagged in the git repository. Is
this an oversight or am I missing something?

Hello Philippe,
sorry for bothering you again, but it looks like the tag has been
applied to the "next" branch and not on the "master" branch, or at least
the changesets for rc5 have not been pushed to the master branch.
Is this intended?
