Hello. I wanted to unsubscribe from this list, sent a line "subscribe
linux-kernel" to majordomo@vger.kernel.org, but it does not reply at
all. what is/may be the problem?
I wanted to switch to more specific lists to track things I am
specifically interested in

Dear RT Folks,
This is the RT stable review cycle of patch 3.0.75-rt103-rc1.
Please scream at me if I messed something up. Please test the patches too.
The -rc release will be uploaded to kernel.org and will be deleted when
the final release is out. This is just a review release (or release candidate).
The pre-releases will not be pushed to the git repository, only the
final release is.
If all goes well, this patch will be converted to the next main release
on 5/7/2013.
Enjoy,
-- Steve

I am getting swamped by e-mail messages from the daily alsa-devel. Whilst this group has helped me in the past with alsa development I would like to either "unsubscribe" from the list or stop the e-mail messages. I tried unsubscribing a couple of months ago by following the unsubscribe instructions but am still getting swamped by the daily messages.
Regards,
Pete

Does anybody know how I go about either unsubscribing to alsa-devel or making it so that every single message isn't e-mailed directly to me?
Regards,
Pete

Have you ever noted, that each and every mail sent via this list
has a footer? Have you tried following the URL given there? Also,
you may try to have a look at the *complete* header of your mail,
it also contains the information you are looking for.

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
