[dm-crypt] Encrypted container showing only lost+found directory.

Hello,

I'm having some problem with dm-crypt. I had an encrypted container with 
some really valuable information, to which I had accessed before. But 
now, although it accepts my password, when I open it I only get a 
lost+found directory. What does this mean and how could I solve it?

It seems you mkfs-ed over it. If it opens cleanly, then this
is very likely not a cryptsetup problem...

What have you done in filesystem creation and partitioning
to cause this?
