Just FYI, due the dependency, I'm waiting on the clock series to merge
before queuing this.  When the clock series is ready, please repost this
since it no longer applies to current mainline.

Just FYI, due the dependency, I'm waiting on the clock series to merge
before queuing this.  When the clock series is ready, please repost this
since it no longer applies to current mainline.
