menu entry editor

[Yoshinori K. Okuji]

I have committed the first version of a menu entry editor right now. 
Please test it and say whether you like it or not.

Next, I'm going to add some important but missing commands (such as 
timeout). Once this is done, I will be able to use GRUB 2 in my 
laptop. :)

That is really nice!  I am really happy to see this. :)

If it is possible, I will try to test this before I go to FOSDEM next
week...

The timeout might be a problem with grub-emu.  Just like the key
support, but I see you have worked on this so it might be fixed now.
I found this out last week and I will try to produce a nice bug
report.

BTW, do you know which room is booked for GNU Hurd? I don't find the 
information on the web site. I will ask someone when I reach there, but 
I am very afraid of losing my way.

I ported the code from GRUB Legacy, so it should work just like GRUB 
Legacy.

will give a small talk about GRUB 2 there.  It will be mainly a
technical talk.

I implemented the commands default and timeout, and fixed some bugs in 
the menu interface.

What is really missing now is automatic module loading. I think there 
was an implementation by Tomas, but I completely forget why it is not 
applied. I will take a look at the archive.

The problem is that I'm busy with school and other things. I didn't
finish the patch fixing because of my hdd broke down (half year ago),
and I didn't set up my system for grub hacking yet. I will have no time
to do this now, but I'll have time to explain any questions about my
patches.
