Are you using their drivers or the real Linux ones? If you're not using
their drivers, I can understand why they couldn't help you very much.

Our driver is fairly naïve, and may well be wasting a lot of time which 
it shouldn't. I can give you pointers on fixing that, if you're 
interested.
