Hello,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am currently testing my email setup using Mutt and have encountered
an issue that I could use some assistance with. When attempting to
send a test email, I receive the following error message:
Error sending message, child exited 70 (Internal error.).
To provide some context, I have followed the previous steps to set up
my email configuration, which involved creating both a .esmtprc and a
.muttrc file. Below is the content of the email I am trying to send:

If you could offer any insights or guidance on resolving this issue, I
would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Warm regards, Joanita

Maybe the following page will help you:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38372023/ubuntu-sendmail-exited-with-error-70
Look at the answer at the very bottom of the page.

The first screen shot mentioned the possibility of an application-specific
password. Maybe you can use that?

Wonderful!
Do you have any more detailed advice for other applicants who may have the
same issue?
Please stop top posting, though. You can even see the problem in the
current message. The message starts with "I tried that". What is "that"?
I know, because I remember what I suggested a few minutes ago. But if
someone else has the same problem and looks in the archives later, they
will have to hunt around in all of the text below to see what "that" could
be.
thanks,

I'm sorry about the top posting I don't know why it keeps happening,
maybe because I was hitting the reply button instead of reply all. I
am happy to offer help since the messages won't be clear, maybe I can
write an article or send a detailed email. Thank you

I guess that what happens is that you type a message in that box, and then
it comes out on top of whatever was in the message thread before.
I don't use gmail, so I don't know if you can get it to present the
existing message in a way that you can respond inline. Maybe you could
just use mutt for all of your outreachy mail henceforth.

I think it's due to the different applications we're using. In Gmail,
messages are displayed in a conversation view, similar to the
screenshot attached below.

Yes, I see that point. But the point is that you can't use that interface
when working on the Linux kernel. Now that you have mutt working, maybe
you can use mutt for all of your communication about the project.
Or maybe someone else has a suggestion about how to avoid the
conversation view in the Gmail interface?

When sending an email with Mutt, I'm prompted to enter a KeyID for
outreachy@lists.linux.dev as shown in the screenshot at the bottom of
the screen. What specific value should I enter for this?

If you are using GPG, the configuration may need to be corrected. Check if this

I do not have any GPG configuration, keyrings for my setup, but I have been able
to work without any issues. I am not sure if mutt internally manages that for
me, but I did not do anything exclusively.
Please enlighten me if I am missing a point.

I guess that there is some configuration option in mutt that is causing it
to expect GPG? What should be removed to stop it doing that?
thanks,
