Hi,

I am currently looking for an alternative to ecartis, because it does
not seem to handle some email clients, namely GMail!

One of the thing that is not clear from reading docs is does mlmmj
support removal of (some) attachments?

I would also like this oppotunity to test how mlmmj handles the
poundsterling character: £10.

Thanks.

No, it doesn't and it's not a planned feature, because it involves some
parsing and editing of a mail which will introduce a great possibility
for bugs.

What's special with this? mlmmj never touches the body of a mail.

If using sendmail, you could try running the message through a filter
before sending it to mlmmj. Not tested, but you could try the
following in your /etc/mail/aliases:
mylist: "| /usr/local/bin/myfilter | /usr/local/bin/mlmmj-recieve -L
/var/spool/mlmmj/mylist/"
