This series adds support for pykms in kmsxx. This enables the python
bindings for kmsxx.

The first patch updates kmsxx to the current HEAD, and the second patch
adds support for pykms as a separate build config option.

Bump version of kmsxx to the current head as of 2026/10/02. Remove
build options as appropriate.

The git commit ID didn't seem like a meaningful version to put in the
commit message but neither did it feel useful to leave it blank so I
just filled it in with the date... I hope that's acceptable.

Add option to kmsxx to enable building pykms. While at it, add kmsprint
and kmstest to the extra utils that are built as they are useful for
testing and development.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for the patch.

Those are two unrelated changes, I would have split them in two patches.
I don't know if buildroot has strict requirements in that area.

As Laurent suggested, it's best to split into separate commits changes
that are separate.

Are you sure python-pybind is a build-time dependency?

The issue with the current buildroot package is that the version of
kmsxx compiled and linked fine, but pykms.so contained unresolved symbol
when the meson utils option was disabled. You have fixed that, so we
decided to just bump the version as an easy fix.

Paul's paul to enable the kmsxx Python bindings come from their usage in
kms-tests (https://git.ideasonboard.com/renesas/kms-tests). If pykms
gets packaged in buildroot we could consider it. For the time being, is
there any drawback in enabling the kmsxx Python bindings ?
