Subject: [Bug 17462] New: XVideo Overlay adaptor is jerky on HD videos (NV18 card)
Date: Sat, 6 Sep 2008 13:28:49 -0700 (PDT)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-17462-8800@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)

http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17462

Summary: XVideo Overlay adaptor is jerky on HD videos (NV18 card)
           Product: xorg
           Version: 7.3
          Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/nouveau
        AssignedTo: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
        ReportedBy: diogomfranco-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org
         QAContact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org

As in $subject. There are no problems at all with SD video, the overlay adaptor
is wonderful :)

Relevant versions: xserver-xorg 7.3 (Debian lenny), mplayer r27531 (manually
compiled), xf86-video-nouveau f8c0af3, novueau's drm 31709aa.

Before anyone blame Composite, it is disabled on my xorg.conf.

A 4MB sample is attached; the problem is more noticeable on the horizontal
scroll scene.
