As in $subject. There are no problems at all with SD video, the overlay adaptor
is wonderful :)

Relevant versions: xserver-xorg 7.3 (Debian lenny), mplayer r27531 (manually
compiled), xf86-video-nouveau f8c0af3, novueau's drm 31709aa.

Before anyone blame Composite, it is disabled on my xorg.conf.

A 4MB sample is attached; the problem is more noticeable on the horizontal
scroll scene.

I tested the sample video on different players and settings, and they all
yelded the same results: xv shows frames from the past, creating jerkiness.

Testedo on: mplayer -vo xv, mplayer -vo sdl, ffplay, vlc and xine-ui.

Danny, I don't think it is related; that guy is having problems with the
blitter, not with the overlay. Also, my videos doesn't have a higher fps than
the display; they're all progressive ntsc.

Sorry for the long delay in the answer... Yes, I get only a blue screen if I
use the Overlay; the Blitter is fine.

Btw, he jittering problem also happens on the Blitter when CPU usage is
topping, like just after starting or unpausing a video; but returns to normal
shortly afterwards.

It appears that this bug report has laid dormant for quite a while. Sorry we
haven't gotten to it. Since we fix bugs all the time, chances are pretty good
that your issue has been fixed with the latest software. Please give it a shot.
(Linux kernel 3.10.7, xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.9, mesa 9.1.6, or their git
versions.) If upgrading to the latest isn't an option for you, your distro's
bugzilla is probably the right destination for your bug report.
