            Bug ID: 217278
Summary: ast 0000:03:00.0: PM: **** DPM device timeout ****
                    during S4 resuming
           Product: Drivers
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: v6.3-rc4
          Hardware: Intel
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocking
          Priority: P1
         Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)
          Assignee: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
          Reporter: wendy.wang@intel.com
        Regression: No

On Intel Emerald Rapids Server
ast driver will trigger unrecoverable kernel panic during S4 resuming.
If add "modprobe.blacklist=ast" kernel parameter to disable ast driver
Can avoid the kernel call trace.

Earlier mainline v6.1 version ast driver also failed.

The Linux kernel's regression tracker (Thorsten Leemhuis) (regressions@leemhuis.info) changed:

           What |Removed |Added
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                 CC|regressions@leemhuis.info |

--- Comment #7 from The Linux kernel's regression tracker (Thorsten Leemhuis) (regressions@leemhuis.info) ---
Then it sounds like this is not a regression and thus nothing for me.

But FWIW, I doubt your report here will reach the maintainers of the driver.
You might want to contact them by mail to Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au>, CCed

Thanks Thorsten for your information,
I sent email and got response.
Jammy Huang <jammy_huang@aspeedtech.com> gave me the patch and ast driver rpm
package, we confirmed that it can unblock the kernel panic during S4 entry.
