By default, I get 6-bit color depth on my laptop. To get full 8-bit color depth
on, I have to run the following command to manually enable dithering.

xrandr --output HDMI-1  --set dithering On

It would be great if Nouveau was able to turn on this parameter by itself when
needed.

Could you provide full kernel logs?
