Hey,
I'm using nouveau, and with it dolphin can't print pictures' preview. Same
problem with chromium : when i move a tab, it's very slow and it don't print
preview.
All works fine when i use nv driver.

I also have this problem. I think it is related to the corruption problem that
happens when using DFS/UTS.

I see you are using archlinux like me, are you using nouveau-drm ?

The FIFO 3 message is odd, because xorg usually takes FIFO 2 and that's it. You
seem to restart xorg a lot, but apart from that nothing odd.

I've try a lot of xorg configuration, so i restarted my xorg server a lot.

I've rebot to have a clean kernel.log, and there isn't any FIFO 3.

I have some info about this bug and mentioned duplicate.
Problems with nouveau driver occured in Fedora 13 and Ubuntu 10.10 (I filed
similar bug at Launchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/636319).
BUT! Everything works fine in Mandriva 2010.1. No artifacts in tray! No
artifacts at all!
Kernel (uname -r):
2.6.33.7-desktop-2mnb
Xorg and nouveau versions:
x11-server-xorg-1.7.7-1mdv2010.1
x11-driver-video-nouveau-0.0.15-0.20100316.1mdv2010.1
lib64drm_nouveau1-2.4.20-2mdv2010.1
My card (lspci | grep -i nvidia):

Well, my bug was not only seen in Firefox. It was there in KDE tray and Dolphin
image previews too. Here, good example, I had exactly the same in Ubuntu:

The vesion of buggy nouveau I used in Ubuntu was 0.0.16+git20100917 from
Xorg-edgers PPA, very fresh! The version that came in distro
(0.0.16+git20100805) was buggy too.

Hi I use nouveau DDX and libdrm from git and latest rcX kernels - and I have
same issues with kde4's (4.5.1) tray icons (actually not all icons) and
icons in taskbar

It appears that this bug report has laid dormant for quite a while. Sorry we
haven't gotten to it. Since we fix bugs all the time, chances are pretty good
that your issue has been fixed with the latest software. Please give it a shot.
(Linux kernel 3.10.7, xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.9, mesa 9.1.6, or their git
versions.) If upgrading to the latest isn't an option for you, your distro's
bugzilla is probably the right destination for your bug report.
