Bug #: 43954
Summary: Some textures are not correctly rendered on HD 6950
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Mesa
Version: git
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Drivers/Gallium/r600
AssignedTo: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: alexandre.f.demers@gmail.com
Created attachment 54575
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=54575
Corrupted background
Using latest mesa, drm and kernel available. Running Ubuntu 11.11 64 bit.
With some applications like RendererFeatTest.bin64, some textures are corrupted
(see screenshot) using my HD6950. Last time I had tried, my onboard HD3200 was
displaying everything properly.

Does it work better with the environment variable > MESA_EXTENSION_OVERRIDE=-GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc ? In a way, it gets better: corrupted textures are not displayed anymore. On the other way, there is no textures anymore. ;) So, yes it seems to be the same bug.
