There was a recent fix to reclocking on nv40, should appear in 3.11-rc7 (or you
can get it now from nouveau/master). Please re-test. Also, can you supply a
complete dmesg log from the system in question, and explain exactly what you're
doing to reclock the card?

No response to re-test request in over a month. Closing as invalid. As I
mentioned in my previous comment, there was an upstream fix, likely takes care
of the issue.
