dmesg log

So the system hangs after I login, and I can't ssh to the box.
I am on Ubuntu utopic.

kernel : 3.16.0-25-generic x86_64
mesa : 10.3.0
xf86-video-nouveau : 1.0.11

This is issue happened also on ubuntu trusty, and probably on saucy as well.

Please note also that I have issues with the nvidia proprietary driver.

This happen on two gigabyte ga-e7aum-ds2h that I have, so is not a hardware
issue.

It seems so. Init'ing the NVAC on the MBPs failed with interrupt 0x00400000
iirc, whereas this one passes the initialisation without troubles, but fails
when loading X.

I would be interested by a mmio trace from the Nvidia driver (see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/MMIOTracing), to compare it with mine and see what's
going differently.
You mentioned issues with the Nvidia driver, what kind of issues are you
experiencing? (If it fails the same way, there won't be much we can do...
Probably just poking the Nvidia guys about it.)

The latest version supporting the card would be better (which should be
340.58), but previous versions sould be fine too.
