As in the subject. We are trying to get it in mainline, but it needs a few
cleanups... however, for now I've posted the UML patch to Andrew Morton, and
he's probably going to include it in the -mm tree (after the 2.6.7-mm6
release, since it's already out and Uml is not yet in). I've posted the base
patch + some other fixes (more or less the -bb2 patches, on my page:
http://www.user-mode-linux.org/~blaisorblade).

Is there any hope of getting the SKAS patches in the mainline 2.6 kernel,
or is it going to have to wait for 2.7?

As far as i know, only SKAS4 will make it into 2.6. The problem is, that
Jeff is still working on SKAS4, and i think it will take some time until
it is ready.
