I notice that, under Kubuntu Linux, after compiling and installing dosemu
1.3.3, the Xfonts folder has bitmap files of only 20 bytes in size, and
setting $X_font="vga" only gives me very thin washed-out fonts, even after

mkfontdir
xset fp rehash

However, under Arch Linux and Slackware Linux, after compiling and
installing dosemu 1.3.3, the Xfonts folder has bitmap files that each
contain over 4 kb, and setting $X_font="vga" gives me very nice fonts.

What might be the problem with the Kubuntu box?
