Mickey,

I came accross an old post of yours on OESF:

"I have just commited a necessary glue package to use a 2.95.3
toolchain in OE. This glue package has been sitting in my tree for a
while and I'm using it to build my python distribution for the
SharpROM without needing any additional hacks.

To make OE build SharpROM compatible QtE applications, just add two or
three dedicated packages, i.e. qte-sharprom and libqpe-sharprom - that
should be all."

As I am fighting with some qte apps compiling for sharprom under OE
(in fact they compile but then on the Zaurus complains about missing
exports), I wanted to know what you meant in the last sentence "add
two or three dedicated packages, i.e. qte-sharprom and
libqpe-sharprom". Did you mean copy the libs from the Zaurus and put
it in the OE tree?

Regards,
Nicolas.

Something like that -- see how we are doing it with the sharprom
binary-only camera drivers. Basically you need to upload the libraries
and include files to some site and make a .bb file download them and
copy them into staging.

Nicolas,

could you write up some summary of what problems one can encounter
compiling for Sharp ROM and how to deal with them and put that up in the
wiki so everyone benefits and can improve the info? I am still
struggling with getting the app to compile all the way through, so I
cannot comment yet on running the thing.

Regards

Rolf

Fine, I'll start putting some infos on linuxtogo's wiki.

Please contact me on irc (#OE) it would be usefull if you can comment
/ test / if what I put on the wiki works for you (as my environment
works I don't want to break it and start from scratch).
