Hi people
I'm wondering if theres already some OE-port for maemo5.
I've seen maemo4 in the tree, but maemo5 is missing.
Is there already some project, or should I do the bitbake files on my own?
Is there a wish for a patch to add it into the OE-tree?
Im asking because I didnt find a running project for maemo5 in OE.

Don't think we have anything related with Maemo 5 yet at OE.
Since I got today one device at work, I'll try to start porting it this week.
Cheers,

Hi,
the maemo4 part isnt perfect and mainly used for building java-packages.
There was the GSoC Project to get working maemo4 images out of OE,
but until now its not merged. Maybee when it is merged its easy enough to
setup a maemo5 port.

Here [1] is the link to the mentioned maemo port for OE.
Until now, it doesnt seem to be an indipendent branch in the repository.
maemo5-angstrom and maemo4-angstrom branches would be nice approaches to the
goal to get hildon desktop fully integrated into the project.
I'm glad to hear, that someone is on it.
I'll check next week to see, if theres something new.
If it is, just ask for help, I'm very motivated to get it running as soon as
possible :-)

I'm very interested in running hildon environment on my Zauruses (Akita and
Tosa). This may requre some patching for smaller screen size (640x480 vs
800x480). But I still have no time to test it. I've called for testers on
local community.

Should I give it a try and import the essential pakets as maemo5 directory?
Patches would follow here in the ML as soon as I've managed to build a running
image.

Yes, please do. I'm very interesting in having the 'maemo' GUI running
on top of angstrom.

Koen
