Unless I have git-native in ASSUME-PROVIDED, this breaks builds with:
ERROR: Unbuildable tasks were found.
These are usually caused by circular dependencies and any circular dependency chains found will be printed below. Increase the debug level to see a list of unbuildable tasks.

I changed it to fetch a snapshot instead, dep loop gone. Hopefully Khem
will learn from this and not but tons of stuff in ASSUME_PROVIDED on his
machine anymore...

yes you crystal ball saw it I have git in ASSUME_PROVIDED but I would
not have hit this
error even if it was not there untill I did a build from scratch.
hmm thanks for fixing. But now I am curious how did the cvs recipe
work. suppose I dont
have cvs installed on my build machine wont that also end up in same
circular dep loop
or it is implicit that cvs should be always installed on your build  box for OE

As a side note, if for some reason you didn't get hit by the dependency
bug and have managed to fetch it, remove the
git_git.savannah.gnu.org.config.git_e35217687ee5f39b428119fe31c7e954f6de64f0.tar.gz*
files from DL_DIR, they probably have different checksums.

If you look closely at
http://cgit.openembedded.org/cgit.cgi/openembedded/commit/?id=54ca80948f1e867c3623af754be97d3b96bc31ec
you'll notice checksums.

Adding a *second* set of checksums like
http://cgit.openembedded.org/cgit.cgi/openembedded/commit/?id=8fcab9f2a9952270f00d68003997208073168567
is doing, is wrong, so:
http://cgit.openembedded.org/cgit.cgi/openembedded/commit/?id=197acb9de5f0404049a1f4da97d3085ba27cb910

That makes it work again as intended. I would encourage security minded
people to download the snapshot and diff it against the git tree to
verify that it has no hidden backdoors added to it.

thanks for fixing this. yes I had problems with my own version of same
tar file and I put the new checksums and  merged them in.
But once I deleted it from downloads then it worked fine. Thanks for
clearing my mess for me.
