Subject: [LARTC] Statistics
Date: Fri, 21 Dec 2001 13:34:14 +0000	[thread overview]

Dear Guru

What are the meanings of the statistic fields? For example:

qdisc tbf 8020: rate 256Kbit burst 10Kb lat 190.7ms
 Sent 941500 bytes 11288 pkts (dropped 33, overlimits 0)
 backlog 770b 9p

 qdisc cbq 1: rate 10Mbit (bounded,isolated) prio no-transmit
 Sent 969153 bytes 11632 pkts (dropped 33, overlimits 22419)
 backlog 9p
  borrowed 0 overactions 0 avgidle 624 undertime 0

What "dropped 33" means? Packets I presume.
"Overlimits 22419"? What this mean? Were all these bytes discarded?
Backlog? What is this?

Any1 could point some documentation about statistic fields?

Thanks a lot.
