They add actual dead gateway detection (so that failover in fact does fail
over... ;)), alternative routes (so that if multiple routes are defined only
the active ones will actually be used), static routes (so that routes don't
get deleted by the kernel if the correspondign interface goes down... thus
automatically reusing it when it comes back up), and MASQUERADING support for
multiple gateways.
