Sorry for this trivial question
In many howto, i saw that ip utility replace gracefully the old ifconfig
command.
However, i would like to know how we can manage speed and (half/full)
duplex with such an utility

Both mii-tool _and_ ethtool. It seems mii-tool is the old one, and works
for some ethernet cards. ethtool is newer (and supposedly better), and
works for some ethernet cards. Some cards are tunable with both
commands, others with just one of them, others... don't work :-)
