LIP is not an AEN (as defined by the scsi standards) and therefore is not
propagated to the scsi layer.
In addition, LIP is also specific to FC-AL and the event for switched FC
networks is different.
Moreover, a LIP contains no extra information.
Apart from that, I agree with Venkat about his conclusions.
