* [PATCH] pci/ehp_hpc: Convert timers to use timer_setup()
From: Kees Cook @ 2017-10-05 0:53 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: linux-kernel
Cc: Bjorn Helgaas, Mika Westerberg, Mayurkumar Patel, Keith Busch,
linux-pci, Thomas Gleixner
In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly. This fixes what appears to be a bug
in passing the wrong pointer to the timer handler (address of ctrl pointer
instead of ctrl pointer).

In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to

* [PATCH] input: Convert timers to use timer_setup()
From: Kees Cook @ 2017-10-05 0:53 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: linux-kernel
Cc: Dmitry Torokhov, Mauro Carvalho Chehab, Hans Verkuil,

In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly.
One input_dev user hijacks the input_dev software autorepeat timer to
perform its own repeat management. However, there is not path back
to the existing status variable, so add a generic one to the input
structure and use that instead.

* [PATCH] media/saa7146: Convert timers to use timer_setup()
From: Kees Cook @ 2017-10-05 0:52 UTC (permalink / raw)

In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly. This requires adding a pointer to
hold the timer's target file, as there won't be a way to pass this in the
future.

* [PATCH] fs/nilfs2: Convert timers to use timer_setup()
From: Kees Cook @ 2017-10-05 0:52 UTC (permalink / raw)
To: linux-kernel; +Cc: Ryusuke Konishi, linux-nilfs, Thomas Gleixner
In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly. This requires adding a pointer to
hold the timer's target task, as the lifetime of sc_task doesn't appear to
match the timer's task.

In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly. This introduces a pointer back to the
struct ip_set, which is used instead of the struct timer_list .data field.

* [PATCH] isdn/gigaset: Convert timers to use timer_setup()

In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly. Also uses kzmalloc to replace open-
coded field assignments to NULL and zero.

* [PATCH] mISDN: Convert timers to use timer_setup()
From: Kees Cook @ 2017-10-05 0:52 UTC (permalink / raw)

In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly.
