I would really like to see Mikael Magnusson's SBLive mixer patch, which
adds a real master volume control and makes the mixer configuration more
consistent with the Audigy, to make it into the 1.0.9 release.

I've mixed feelings about this patch, but Takashi can take
the responsibility to include it, because the Audigy mixer is
his work...

Hi,

For au8830 driver, the message "ALSA control.c:325: control
3:0:0:Playback PCM advanced processing:0 is already present" is found in
the kernel log when the driver is creating the first kcontrol for hrtf
and snd_add_ctl() return -16

#dmesg

Vortex: init.... <6>
ALSA control.c:325: control 3:0:0:Playback PCM advanced processing:0 is
already present
done.

I agree that an overall master volume control is nice.
But, it's not simple enough yet. For example, with Mikael's patch, we
have the following controls for front output:

Master, Master Front, Front, Wave, Wave Front, PCM

This is confusing. Really.

Takashi
