I can't load the YMF-744 driver with ALSA 0.9.3a on either one of my Sony
laptops (one is a PictureBook and the other is a PCG-F680). I am running the
standard Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.4.20-13.7 kernel on both. ALSA 0.9.2 works fine.
Here is the null pointer dereference, which as far as I can tell is the same
for both laptops:

hmm, i can't reproduce this on my machine (although it's a YMF740C).
could you try the cvs version?
also, ksymoops would give a bit more closer trace.
