Try to pass "model=3stack" module option.

But the warning messages are weird. They correspond to an ADC and the CD
volume.

 honschu - 10-10-05 18:35

With "model=3stack" the module loads and I can play sound. But sometimes I
think that it doesn't play sound as a accurate stream: It seems to me that
songs sometimes jump forward or reward for some microsecounds.

yes, that does the trick. Thanks!
Will this be setup up automatically in a future release of the module?

Summary: 2.6.14-rc2 "Unknown model for ALC880"
Description:
I have a Aopen i915Gm-HFS Motherboard with intel-hda chipset.
Sound output (input not) works in kernel 2.6.12.

For Kernel 2.6.14-rc2 I get error on boottime (see below)

If you want me to do tests, feel free to ask.

Try to pass "model=3stack" module option.

But the warning messages are weird. They correspond to an ADC and the CD
volume.

With "model=3stack" the module loads and I can play sound. But sometimes I
think that it doesn't play sound as a accurate stream: It seems to me that
songs sometimes jump forward or reward for some microsecounds.

They correspond to an ADC and the CD
volume.
