Hello!
I have a problem and your help needed.
My WiFi adapter is Atheros AR9285 (PCI-E). [ASUS K50IN + Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon]
The WiFi LED-indicator is still lighting (working) permanently and WLAN's state does not matters.
(WiFi is already disabled but indicator is still shining anyway.)
I think that this is could be the reason of the rapid discharge of the battery.
I hope you can help me fix my problem. Thanks.

this LED should be controlled by acpi, in your case probably by:
./drivers/platform/x86/asus-laptop.c
or
./drivers/platform/x86/asus-wmi.c
