I am trying to timestamp when a ACK frame is received in ath9k_htc module.
WLAN card is TL-WN722N from TP-LINK

I've modified a function `ath9k_rx_tasklet()` in `ath/ath9k/htc_drv_txrx.c`
like [this](
https://gist.github.com/gsongsong/991705f9c38ce6a9cda7#file-gistfile1-txt-L37
)

When I build and install the modified kernel source, however, that
`printk` message does not appear in the `dmesg` log.

After some search, I've found [a thread](
https://www.mail-archive.com/ath9k-devel%40lists.ath9k.org/msg12280.html).
It says, ACK is processed by hardware itself and is not passed to ath9k_htc
kernel module. Is it right? Then, isn't there a way to check whether an ACK
frame is received in a ath9k_htc kernel module?

Regards,
Jeon.

You need to digg in to firmware. ath9k_htc HW is mostly Atheros PCI
controller connected to a SoC and then to USB. Part of magic which is
happening in ath9k is located in ath9k_htc_fw.
