Hi Nicolas,
Thank you for your suggestion, it works.
Actually I was thinking that in order to have arp monitoring
(bond_arp_ip_target <ip>) enabled the bond0 interface had to have an ip
address configured and as per tcpdump samples show that is not true.
So here it is my current working configuration.
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto bond0
iface bond0 inet manual
bond-slaves none
bond-mode active-backup
bond_arp_ip_target 10.153.107.1
bond_arp_interval 60
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet manual
bond-master bond0
bond-primary eth0 eth1
auto eth1
iface eth1 inet manual
bond-master bond0
bond-primary eth0 eth1
auto br0
iface br0 inet static
address 10.153.107.110
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.153.107.1
bridge_ports bond0
bridge_stp off
bridge_fd 9
bridge_hello 2
bridge_maxage 12
bridge_maxwait 0
###
Tcpdump output
00:1c:c4:6b:38:4a > ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff, ARP, length 60: Request who-has
10.153.107.1 tell 0.0.0.0, length 46
00:1c:c4:6b:38:4a > ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff, ARP, length 60: Request who-has
10.153.107.1 tell 0.0.0.0, length 46
00:1c:c4:6b:38:4a > ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff, ARP, length 60: Request who-has
10.153.107.1 tell 0.0.0.0, length 46
Thanks guys.
