Hi

Where do i put my u-boot patch file ?

I am using u-boot 2010.12

I entered board/UBOOT as custom patch dir

I have this structure :

Board/UBOOT/2010.12/u-boot-2010.12.patch

Buildroot does not seem to find the patch (iuboot does not get patched )

What should the correct path file path be ?

Regards Johan

It should be board/UBOOT/2010.12/ according to what you said.

However, note that this isn't really how board/ is supposed to be used.
The suggestion is not create a directory hierarchy as follows :

 board
 +- <yourcompany>
    +- <yourproject>
      +- u-boot-patches
      +- linux-patches

Of course, this should have been:

"The suggestion *is* to create a directory hierarchy as follows:"

Thanks Maxime for noticing,

There used to be a bug in the documentation that has been fixed
recently. The patches should be named uboot-<version>-<something>.patch,
not u-boot-<version>-<something>.patch.
