[Buildroot] Keyboard is not working after the kernel is booted

I created a basic linux kernel using buildroot, it's booting up but is not
taking input from the keyboard. It boots and leave the cursor blinking if I
try typing something, it doesn't pick up any input.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hard to say without further information (which hardware, which buildroot
version and config, which init system etc.) and without a trace of the
output (did your see the buildroot login or just the kernel messages
or nothing?)....
