[Buildroot] failure to build c++ for 3.4.x version

Hello, I am trying to build c++ cross compiler for 3.4.x.  I am getting
a failure of the following:

I removed std:: from the offending line and it worked.  I'm not sure if
the solution is a gcc-version-dependent #ifdef or if there is some
larger issue I'm unaware of.  Was this a bug in gcc?

 

Later on I got:

So I created a file named 'junk' in
toolchain_build_i386/gcc-3.4.6-final/i386-linux-uclibc/libstdc++-v3/incl
ude/i386-linux-uclibc/bits/stdc++.h.gch which seems to have gotten me
past that part.

g++-4.2.1 built for me last time i tried. I don't keep 3.x uptodate
(it's outdated, i will hide it in DEPRECATED soon) nor 4.0.x nor 4.1.x
for the very same reason.
