I found it kind of hackish to include some gtk-specific stuff into the
automake package. But maybe it's the only way ?

Well... we are just trying to get rid of the gtk-doc package...
The "real" fix would be to install gtk-doc as an host package.
Last time I tried to integrate it, there was too many dependencies... I
will give it another try.

It's certainly the easiest way. I agree that it isn't very pretty, but I
don't have a big problem with us doing "emulation" stuff if that makes
stuff easier and less error prone to handle.

It would be good to add a comment at the top of gtk-doc.m4, that
describes why we are doing it, and maybe it should get installed into
host/usr/share/aclocal as well to fix a similar issue with host
packages?
