[Buildroot] Patches to merge before -rc1 ?

Hello all,

It would be nice if people could point me to some patches you believe
should be merged before -rc1, be it your own patches, or patches from
other people that you believe are ready for merging.

It would also help dramatically if contributors could have a look at
the pending list of patches, test them, comment them, review them, and
provide the appropriate Acked-by/Reviewed-by tags. This would help me
see which patches should be merged now.

I recently submitted a patch to fix extractions of .xz packages on
systems that don't have xzcat installed:

I think this could be considered for inclusion.

I think I won't have time before -rc1 (due end of July?) to do
anything useful in this respect, but I'll try helping a little here
when I can.

There is the patch adding libcppcms that would be nice to have...

This patch from Nicolas Menegale has been through sevral rounds of review 
but hasn't been included yet.

As far as I know, there are no pending comments and it should be good to go

I know Yann E. Morin started reviewing it a while ago, but gave up due
to the patch complexity and some issues that were complex to solve. But
I'm inclined to merge it as is anyway, and fix up the issues as they
show up. This vlc stuff has been out of tree for too long. Yann, what's
your position on this?

I'd suggest adding it in -next. I'll work on it again after -rc1.
