Hi,
I'd like to run ejabberd on a buildroot system.
ejabberd is a Jabber/XMPP instant messaging server, written in Erlang.
There is already an Erlang package to buildroot but no ejabberd package.
As far as I understood the guidelines, I should ask first on this
mailing list if anyone is working on a package.
So, is there anyone working on a buildroot package for ejabberd?
If not, I'm going to work on it and send my patch set to this mailing
list (or buildroot at buildroot.org as described in Section 11.5 of the
manual).
Best regards,
--
Johan

I'm not aware of any effort in packaging ejabberd, so if you want to
work on it, then please go ahead.
Thank you for your future contribution! :-)

The official Buildroot mailing list is buildroot at buildroot.org indeed,
although the one you sent to is just an alias.

I've submitted my patch on Friday, using git-send-email. This is the
first time I use this tool, so I may have done something wrong.
For example, it does not contain the [buildroot] tag (I thought the
mailing list would add it automatically).
Should I wait for a reviewer or do I need to take any further action
in the meantime?

Ok, you may want to update the welcome message from the mailing list,
which asks to send emails to buildroot at busybox.net

No, you did well. It's just that it can take a bit of time for someone
to review pending patches.
There are so many patches, and so few reviewers... :-(
