Perhaps the toolchain wrapper should detect -mcpu=native and barf. That option

This commit adds musl support via a patch:
0b6b67f34d6d4aeb340bbca579dbf85363c3f4ea
For fenv.h UCLIBC_HAS_FENV should be enabled in uClibc-ng config.
That is not the case.
I can't see why fenv.h would be installed in the past without
UCLIBC_HAS_FENV.
Without the patch, jamvm compiles fine.

which makes the patch smarter: it now detects if <fenv.h> is available

Just a note here: From that thread I posted earlier, Go is supporting
powerpc64le (which is reasonable given that it's likely what everyone is
using from Power 8 onwards) fairly well, it's just big endian that's not
working. I tested a build of docker-containerd on little endian and it
worked fine.

I'll check this one too. Several similar link failures have been caused
by old versions of autotools that don't recognize powerpc64le at all.
It's not obvious from the build failure log because the way configure
fails causes linking to fail during the build, rather than anything
obvious during the configure step.

This seems to be similar to some others: a library (libXcursor) is being
incorrectly built as static, which causes downstream link failures. I
had a quick look at other X11R7 libraries and they all seem to include
the same old version of autotools that can't detect dynamic linker
support on powerpc64le.
Before I go and fix every one manually: is there some better way to
handle this across many packages, or even just many X11R7 packages?
Should I prepare one big patch that fixes them all?

Last time I checked I suggested to disable it for bfin.
But now I found a simple patch which avoids the segfault. I try to
find a simple test case to report the issue upstream.
Do you want me to sent a patch fixing the build issue without a bug
report?

Could you have a look at the other PowerPC64 build failures, listed at:
http://autobuild.buildroot.net/?arch=powerpc64&status=NOK
Of course, you should ignore the build failures on flannel,
docker-containerd, docker-engine and runc. But it leaves a bunch of
failures on openblas, libdvbcsa, hwloc (this one might be a parallel
build issue unrelated to ppc64), host-qemu.
