Thanks, I indeed don't receive such notifications.

Hmm, that log isn't very helpful. Any idea what is going on? I just did
a test build here without issues.

Is it perhaps a case of missing BR2_LINUX_KERNEL_NEEDS_HOST_OPENSSL?

Such failures are normally notified (1) to the maintainers of the
failing defconfigs and (2) in the global e-mail sent every day to the
mailing list.

After this mail I got another notification about the kontron_smarc_sal28
issue:

Ah, I forgot that the text version of that mail appends /raw at the end of the
URLs. You have to go to the job page, then go to the artifacts, and there you
find the full log.

There you find:

scripts/extract-cert.c:21:25: fatal error: openssl/bio.h: No such file or directory
 #include <openssl/bio.h>
                         ^

 Looks like it :-)

Ah, yes, it's all the way at the bottom, I didn't see it there.

However, for the tests, I added the developers of the package that is tested to
Cc here, so that might help.

Ahh, ok.

Great, I'll send a patch.

The daily e-mail logic is also smart enough to associate runtime test
failures in Gitlab CI with the maintainers of those tests. However, the
DEVELOPERS must obviously be up-to-date for this to work. So if you
have found appropriate developers to associate to specific runtime
tests, don't hesitate to update the DEVELOPERS accordingly.

Thanks a lot!

This should be fixed by the following patch:
http://lists.busybox.net/pipermail/buildroot/2021-January/300901.html
