This failure is caused because when network-manager is going to be built
it detects that Qt has been installed, so it passes the option
--enable-qt, which enables the Qt examples. It doesn't build
network-manager with Qt support (don't get confused by the name), it
only causes the Qt example to be built.
The Qt example included in network-manager uses an operator which is
available only if Qt has been built with STL compatibility. This is the
description of the operator:
"This operator is only available if Qt is configured with STL
compatibility enabled."
From: http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qstring.html#toStdString
So, to be able to build that network-manager Qt example and fix the
autobuild failure we need to select BR2_PACKAGE_QT_STL. Or, the other
option (and I think is the one that has more sense) is to pass
--disable-qt to the network-manager configure options.

Maybe this is still necessary?

Hmmm, looking back through my e-mail, it does appear that I dropped the
ball.
I did get correspondence (months later) from a Sven Neumann about using
libunwind with uclibc. He sent the patches to me personally but
apparently never to the list. Looking at the patches, it may be that
these would resolve the issues with using libunwind with uclibc. I have
never tested these patches nor would I want to sign off on these.
Alternately, I guess I could include the depends on !BR2*<uclibc>*. Am
I this package owner? Looking through the repo, I only find one commit
by me: htop.
Either way, if you want me to look at it, I guess I can dust off my
libunwind knowledge and fix 'er up.
Just let me know what ya'll want me to do. If you would like to see
Sven's patches, I'll shoot those along but will not sign off on those as
I haven't done ANYTHING with those.
Andy

Yes, setcontext et al. were only added to uClibc master in early 2013:
http://git.uclibc.org/uClibc/commit/?id=a8dc90eaaa5e6474beac828558d969b1aafee4af
So it is not yet in any release of uClibc.
Either we backport this (Hirk!) or we disable X.org on uClibc.
Count me in for disabling on uClibc.
Regards,
Yann E. MORIN.

It is libunwind that uses get/setcontext, not Xorg - And libunwind is
just an optional dependency for Xorg, so it is libunwind that shouldn't
be available for (non-snapshot) uClibc.
I'll send a patch to fix it.
