Indeed, pthread was made a hard requirement in upstream commit:

included in this new version.
For that reason, this bump fail to build with toolchains without
threads. See:

Since this release, building without POSIX threads is no longer supported.
So add a depends on BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_THREADS.
